Halcyon Goes to Cross Industries

Well, today I found out about a great opportunity for the students at Halcyon. I should have been paying more attention earlier in the week but such is life. I volunteered to help Fayrechilde with a mentoring program she was putting together. I managed to snap some photos of the trip which consisted of a tour of their MC facility as well as their MC headquarters.

The photo includes Alex Cross, Jason Smith, and "Hot Spot" from Cross Industries. I failed to get Hot Spot's name. Also in the picture, from Halcyon, were myself, Romi, Kes, Rose, and Fay.

Included in the above photo are more students who attended. Ash and is one new comer and in the back, Fay is talking to Yoru.

In this photo, we Mr. Cross and company explaining various operations of this particular facility. It was an interesting discussion of armours and manufacturing processing.

Above are better pictures of Hot Spot, Mr. Cross, and Mr. Smith. Also included are Mr. Smith's demonstration of his armour techniques. A few of the girls found Mr. Smith to be... interesting.

The armour technologies were quite interesting, if not a bit over my head. But I digress. The next photo was taken in the Cross Industries headquarters. It show several students listening intently to Mr. Cross.

Below is a panoramic shot of Mr. Cross and the assembled Halcyon/Cross Industries groups. It was quite impressive to be part of.

And now the aftermath of the day's festivities. Some of the students got a little listless and there were a few party crashers. But all in all, it was an interesting, informative day. I hope it leads to a lot of good interaction between our two groups.

More Monster Island! Part Deux!

Well, what a great day! Spent some great time at Monster Island with Fayrechilde and Nameme. I didn't have a lot of time for photos, but I did get one that was memorable. We made the biggest omelet ever...

Busy Busy Busy...

Wow... It's been hectic since my return to the school. Monster Island, Lemuria, Vibora Bay. And to top all that off, Ice Wind showed his face in MC. He's behind bars for now but despite Defender's assurances, I'm not sure that the temporary facility they're holding him in is going to be enough. Brothers, eh?

Anyway, I'll have some more photos soon. With all that's going on in the world, I just haven't had time to take good ones. So what are you up to? Anything? I wonder how many of my students are reading this... I'm guessin' none at the moment...

Still wet, but here are some more photos from 'down under'...

Doc after the rescue of the Aegir. It's a state of the art boat, to be sure.

One of the reefs around the Aegir. It's a colorful place if you like lots of blue...

Right after Doc found all the bombs someone had set, he found the one who was responsible. Justice was meted out shortly there after.

Lemuria?! Are you kidding me?

Lemuria. What a shit hole. Perspective, I suppose. Being a guy who bursts into flames and who throws fire, a world sunken under a mile of water isn't my first choice for places to hang out.

Here I am in my newly designed dive suit. It allows me to maintain my fiery abilities even in an entirely wet environment. I've been tinkerin' around with using it to amplify my abilities but I've thus far been unsuccessful.

I still to make one that is done up in Halcyon colors, I just haven't had time yet. That, and there aren't exactly proper facilities on the Aegir.

More Monster Island!

Monster Island has a variety of terrain; forests, mountains, lakes, islands, and other things. Oh yeah, and volcanoes. Here, I'm back to normal size and out and about.

After quite a bit of time here and elsewhere, I've decided that Monster Island may well be one of my favorite places to go.

Monster Island will also lead you to other places. To what is probably my least favorite place...

Monster Island...

Monster Island was a place that, at first, completely took me by surprise. The indigenous Manimal population was right out of a book (or a movie for those too young to remember it). As part of that experience I found myself forced to take an experimental treatment to try and fend off a mega lizard.

Upon seeing myself in that state, my first thought was not dissimilar from what I believe most people would think: "Farhenheit SMASH!!!"

Givin' it another go...

Well, my last foray into the online world didn't go so well. Or rather, I kinda forgot about it completely. So I figured I'd just get rid of the old and start over fresh. For those who don't have me in a class, I teach several of the English language courses at the school as well as some of the literature classes.

I'm from Louisiana so if my proper English seems a little slurred from time to time, it's most likely my cajun accent. I speak French and cajun, which is French with a lot of slangin' and slurrin'. I love nothin' more than an evenin' out for a few beers and some crawfish and boudin.

I'm about as laid back a professor can be. It is, afterall, about teachin' the students and how can ya do that with strict rules and students who fail to engage due to somethin' so silly as tradition? I'm gonna post some pics of the Doc from his travels. It will hopefully help other would-be heroes understand what's out there and prepare to deal with it.

Oh yes... If you notice my talkin' about the Doctor Fahrenheit persona in the third person from time to time, I'm not schizophrenic. I simply understand that while the Doc is Marcus Rankine, Marcus Rankine is much more than just a superhero who shoots fire and flies around the sky. I can separate the two and that's something that I would recommend that everyone learn to do.
